Best day in Nepal
Was a great day hiking around the outskirts of Kathmandu today. Pristine fields of crops (it's amazing how they can still grow anything after five months without rain), fresh air and a light breeze did so much to lift my spirits.
No photos for this entry because I decided to leave the mammoth tank behind and just enjoy the walk. I'm now flirting with the thought of getting a compact camera. Maybe the Panasonic LX3. That lens is some work of engineering.
Anyway, back to the hiking. It was a perfect way to get to know more Nepali friends in the media. Especially when the post-hike activity - drinking home-brewed alcohol - took place.
With alcohol, tongues were loosened and we had a great time swapping life stories with among ourselves. Today was a real holiday and on the happiness index it was the best day in Nepal.
